Terms of Service

Standit Constructions provides construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance services across Sydney's Northern Beaches, North Shore, and Greater Sydney Metro area.

Services include but are not limited to:

• Residential repairs and maintenance
• Kitchen and bathroom updates
• Deck and outdoor structure construction
• Painting and finishing work
• Carpentry and joinery
• Minor renovations and fit-outs

All services are subject to a written contract or quote that outlines specific terms, scope, timelines, and costs.

Quotes provided are estimates based on the information available at the time of assessment. We provide detailed, itemized quotes wherever possible.

• All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated
• Final costs may vary based on site conditions, material availability, or approved variations
• Any variations to the original scope must be agreed in writing
• We'll notify you immediately if unexpected issues arise that may affect cost or timeline

Payment schedules are outlined in individual project contracts. Our standard terms are:

• Deposit: 10% upon contract signing (for projects over $1,000)
• Progress Payments: Milestone-based payments tied to completed work stages
• Final Payment: Due within 7 days of project completion and your approval
• Small Jobs: Payment due upon completion (projects under $1,000)

We accept bank transfer, credit card, and cash payments. Late payments may incur interest charges as permitted by law.

We stand behind our work with comprehensive warranties:

• Workmanship: 12-month warranty on all labor and workmanship
• Materials: Manufacturer warranties apply (typically 1-10 years depending on product)
• Structural Work: Extended warranties as required by NSW building regulations

Warranties are subject to:

• Proper maintenance and reasonable use
• No unauthorized modifications or repairs
• Timely reporting of defects (within warranty period)

If you experience any issues with our work, contact us immediately. We'll assess and rectify warranty claims at no charge.

Standit Constructions maintains appropriate insurance coverage including:

• Public liability insurance ($10 million coverage)
• Workers compensation insurance
• Contract works insurance (for applicable projects)

Our liability is limited to the terms outlined in individual project contracts and as permitted by Australian consumer law. We are not liable for delays or issues caused by factors beyond our reasonable control (weather, material shortages, client-caused delays, etc.).

To ensure smooth project completion, clients are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information about the project and property
• Ensuring site access during agreed work hours
• Obtaining necessary approvals or permits (unless otherwise agreed)
• Making timely decisions on selections and variations
• Making payments according to the agreed schedule
• Notifying us immediately of any concerns or issues

If a dispute arises, we're committed to resolving it fairly and quickly. Our process:

1. Direct Discussion: Contact us to discuss the issue - most problems can be resolved through open communication
2. Formal Complaint: Submit a written complaint outlining the issue and desired resolution
3. Mediation: If we can't resolve it directly, we'll engage an independent mediator
4. Legal Action: As a last resort, disputes may be resolved through NSW Fair Trading or legal proceedings
